Rejected by the white world

WORLD
Living and learning the Black experience, feeling
the racism experienced by the people she loved in the South Carolina
Low Country where she grew up
Yet, she
survives, finding strength in her faith in God, the love of her
family and eventually her black soul-mate. She pursues her own identity,
then returns to her 'Black roots' to teach in the very school where
she attended and was accepted.
Lynn's story is a true story
of survival, told from the heart, from one who has experienced
both sides of the racial divide. But it is not just a story
about race, it is the touching recollections of the spiritual journey
of a young woman growing up in a society that was itself experiencing
growing pains.
